Wharfedale Club Site: Yorkshire Dales Discover the Best Caravan & Motorhome

🚐🌳 Welcome to another adventure with Andy and Claire! Today, we’re exploring the Wharfedale Club Site in the stunning Yorkshire Dales, known for being one of the best caravan and motorhome sites in the UK. Join us as we uncover the hidden gems of this picturesque location and share our experiences with fellow travelers. If you love van life and discovering new places, this video is for you!

Wharfedale Club Site Price

We stayed at the Wharfedale Club in June 2023 and the price was Β£40 for a one night stay on a Saturday on hardstanding with electric and awning. We didn’t put up the awning or use any electric because we were using our trusty Ecoflow Delta 2 Max. Due to work commitments, we arrived early evening so we didn’t get a choice of pitch.

Quality of The Pitch

The pitch was in a good position near the exit of the site. The pitches are well maintained but it’s worth noting that the pitch itself was on an angle. This didn’t bother us but may bother you. It wasn’t enough for us to feel like we were falling out of bed although our coffee cups did slide out of the coffee machine. Other than that, we were more than happy with the pitch.

Facilities

There are plenty of facilities at this site and the toilet block is clean and well-maintained. We didn’t have to wait to use any of these as they seem to have got the ratio right even though the site was full.

Staff

The staff at Wharfedale Club Site were very friendly and helpful. Although we arrived later in the day we were catered for when we did get there. All of the staff had a friendly smile and said hello when passing which we think makes a big difference to the overall feel of the site.

Surrounding Area

We had a really good meal in the Gamekeepers Inn which is about a 10-minute walk from the site. There is also a cafe in that area. The prices were reasonable and lower than what we experienced at Haven sites. As for the area around the site, what can we say? It’s the Yorkshire Dales! When the sun is out and there’s a warm breeze, you’d struggle to find anywhere else in the world that you’d want to be. We visited The Strid (The Most Dangerous Water In The World) from here and also Bolton Abbey.

Conclusion

Wharfedale Club Site can be booked via the Caravan and Motorhome Club. Although this was Β£40 per night we thought that this was good value as the surroundings and overall feel allowed us to really enjoy ourselves. We think that this site is one of our favourites in the UK. To find out more about our trip you can look at this post.
